Public Presentations on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard
Mice Against Ticks aims to involve the public at every stage through local oversight committees and frequent public presentations. Before any work had begun in his lab, Dr. Esvelt approached the citizens of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard to test their interest and seek their input. Over the past years, Dr. Esvelt has repeatedly visited these two islands to answer questions and ask many of his own. The majority of these public presentations can be found here, including the first exploratory Workshop at MIT in December 2015, video recordings of the public presentations on Nantucket (June 6, 2016) and Martha’s Vineyard (July 20, 2016), and slides of all of the presentations that followed, on Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and Cuttyhunk (May 11, 2018).
Watch these videos to become more familiar with the project, or scroll to the end to hear from island residents and visitors as they participate in public Q&A sessions. Should questions of your own arise as you watch and listen to the videos or view the slides, please do not hesitate to reach out. We want to hear from you!
